Like it. Some of the things the site could include:

  • early release of drafts
  • guide to licencing/intro to Creative Commons and related documetation licences
  • the process of receiving edits
  • building a community around the work

The content from the site could easily include material from James Simmon's excellent [http://www.archive.org/details/EBookEnlightenment guide to publishing ebooks] using open methods.

Great idea, Tim. I'm planning a text camp for 13th August 2011, and the writing of a guide to licencing would be a great activity for that. Cheers, James (OpenLit working group)
