This project seeks to establish an open development business model focused on mobile health services. As a pilot/demonstrator project in the run op to the OKFestival it will show how open source, open data and open business models can support a development outcome. Mobile services are primarily about linking – connecting people to information, services, and people who can help. If there are not adequate services, systems, or trained people to connect to, then mobile services are weak.'' Peter Benjamin - MD of Cell Life. http://www.healthunbound.org/content/%E2%80%9Cwe-have-real-chance-revolutionise%E2%80%9D This proposal aims to establish a set of open data services that link to people and services who can support mhealth. Through these data services the project will build a business case to support the project. The project focuses on the following Millennium Development Goals: MDG 3 on empowering women MDG 4 on reducing child mortality MDG 5 on improving maternal health MDG 6 combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases. The outputs of the project and members of the project team will present their findings and knowledge to the open development stream at: http://opengovernmentdata.okfnpad.org/open-development-okfest2012 submitted 28 May, 22:04 markherringer |
