Building a Research Context with Linked Bibliographic Data
The general idea is to recommend appropriate literature and media based on a bibliographic entry entry. The metadata of the IUCr-Dataset. The bibliographic documents of an IUCr contain author, title and abstract information that document is sufficient used to find related wikipedia articles. We then extract bibliographical references from Wikipedia Wikipedia. The extracted citations are used to query external datasets, as e.g. British National Library, Cambridge University Library etc.

The retrieved results can be helpful, ranked by matching their metadata with the original IUCr document. This should help, either for shortening the process of interdisciplinary information research as well as for young researchers that may not be aware of free information sources available in their field.
