One concern I've had with conversations I've seen about these kinds of alternatives is that they appear to focus on the individual user and not address the value that comes from network effects, subscription to others, to popular tags, and bulk data analysis. Delicious is pretty good about that, that's how I've found it most valuable, and I hope that new alternatives will do even better. solved 12 Jan '11, 06:16 Marshallkirk... What if the instance can include an entire community? Then there is more likely to be communication between the members, even if it is only a fraction of all users.
